Circling Practices for Authentic Friendship Development

What Is Circling?
Circling is a style of "Authentic Relating". A Sangha Circle is a specific practice of authentic group exploration, aimed at Dharma Practitioners, where we combine the practices of Active Listening, Mindfulness, and Truth-talk, to help facilitate edgy, insightful, & bonding conversations between dharma practitioners.

By participating in a Circle, we create an active "we-space".

When we create a we-space, something interesting happens. The group is able to carry a "flow of realization and investigation" which would not be possible as individuals.

It's as though we become a "channel" for a larger perspective to "emerge".

In this way, it's a guided experiment, always. We cannot predict what will emerge, we can simply learn to hold space and learn to navigate and guide as skillfully as possible. There is always a dedicated facilitator who's role it is to spearhead this navigation.

We then take the insights we've had in the space and figure out how to apply it to our day-to-day lives of leadership, self-development, and action.

How is Circling different than regular conversations?
This is different from traditional meet-ups because we're working with moment-to-moment emergence and trusting the "life-force" to guide us. We're not just discussing the dharma, we're experiencing it as it arises, together. There is a tetra-arising which you become aware of. We can also use this space to work on conflict, healing, confusion etc.

It's different from classic "Circling" because my bias' is to create specific purposes for each circle exploration, so we can get as much impact as possible.
